For this entry, I would like to share about Malaysian culture which consist of major ethnic in Malaysia which Malays, Chinese and Indians. Malaysia has a multi-ethnic, multicultural, and multilingual society. The original culture of the area stemmed from indigenous tribes that inhabited it, along with the Malays who later moved there. Substantial influence exists from Chinese and Indian culture, dating back to when foreign trade began. Here, I will share about taboos cultural among multi-ethnic in Malaysia.

"Childhood Lifestyle in Malaysia"

These days, exactly what type of  game does the children play? Certainly tend to be video games, Xbox 360, Sony PSP, smart phone, ipad   and much more that these types of superior electronics. Because  of the advancement of technologies, new games are produced in abundance, making old-fashioned games becomes obsolete. For those who have already surpass their childhood, I am certain each one of these can make a person remember returning to your own childhood years, all those good old traditional times.

Others type of playing marbles :-

1.Main dalam bulatan
2.Main dalam petak
3.Main dalam segi tiga
4.Main dalam lubang

There was a time when i would retain me personally active performing several routines. After i become an adults, I love to enjoy football together with my nephew and also close friends each day.Even if it was raining or storming outside, we still continue to play until the day turn into the night.Especially, I got merely a child and also wasting the whole day long outside the house, jogging and also yelling will be the frequent behavior between youngsters. Sooner or later, even though, I assumed it absolutely was very good to get scolded regarding that will my parents have been actually proper care and also adore myself. Moreover, we all  played out some sort of traditional games like “playing with marbles” and also “throwing slippers”.

"throwing slippers"

The most exciting game is i think is playing a top spinning or in malays said it "gasing",both adults and children can play the game. The object of the game is to keep the top spinning for as long as possible and the player who's top spins the longest wins. This game is fast becoming extinct and efforts are being made in Malaysia to revive interest in the game by organizing top spinning competitions.

That is really good childhood memories especially to wait for the uncle rahman "roti man" to come twice a week on his motorcycle and i would run out to my gate with my pocket money that i had saved to buy snacks. Especially the dora-dora and ding-dang chocolate cause it had toys in them.My points here is early childhood learning plays a crucial role in the development of a child. It is often what we learn as a child that determines what we will achieve in our life. Therefore, early childhood learning activities for children should be comprehensively planned and focus on their overall development.Last but not least, childhood is the most exciting time, so cherish the time ans spend it with the one you love. Our childhood is our greatest treasure, so treasure it always.

Baby Dumping in Malaysia

Hello again, we're back !!! So, how is everyone?

Ok , back to the post.   and today our subject is about child dumping!!

Child dumping is the practice of dumping offspring outside of legal adoption. The dumped child is called a foundling or throwaway. Nowadays, the cases of new born baby dumping and fetuses in Malaysia are rapidly increases. Malaysia has become the most favorite spot for dumping babies. The year 2010 is also known as Baby Dumping cases for Malaysia which brings a lot of questions and issues. Baby dumping is a social crisis and has a chronic increase as many cases are occurring in Malaysia country. We have heard about fruit season, fever season but this is the first baby dumping season in Malaysia. New Year celebration and Valentine’s Day known as ‘mating season’ nowadays leads to unwanted pregnancies among youths.

I think that the parents should take seriously role to prevent their son and daughter from social problem. Baby dumping could avoid if their children have awareness about the dangerous of baby dumping. It could ruin their future and kill in sinned baby. The parents are also must control and minimize their children’s activities outdoor. They must know their children go out with who and where they go. The responsibility parent will avoid their children from unhealthy activity. We could solve this social problem if we emphasis religious teaching on our children, control them carefully and always awareness about the dangerous of baby dumping, introduce true Islam to the children especially to the muslim youth about halal and haram in opposite sex relationship.

The government should come out with several policies and programmes, the teenagers need to expose to the religious law and the teenagers should have strong determination to avoid from involving in this problem. The government should introduce true Islam to the people especially to the Muslim youth about halal haram, paradise hell and dosa pahala. Islam scholars or known as ulama must take this responsibility to explain to the community about Islam and its rules

We can point our finger to anyone we want but this time we have to examine this social problem obviously. In my opinion, I think the lives of teenagers are too free without parent’s control. You can look what among of student did in campus or college. Some of them make a date try to do something as couple. Sometimes they make something further. Perhaps that “something” I shall call it as sumbang mahram. Every boy and girl has to know their limitation of relationship. Of course you can be friend with anyone but do not go too far when you be friend with the different gender. Islam teaches us about the relationship in Islam. Now, the girl must not wear the sexy clothes not because of order of people but this is order of Allah. We must follow Allah’s command and what had been written in Koran. Sexy girl dressing is one of cause why the banned relation could happen. It cans rise up the boys ‘desire and passions. That is why social problem could happen.

How could this problem keep on happening? There are many factors that cause this problem continuously occurring in Malaysian society. Lifestyle of teenagers itself, for example when they are in campus or in college, the teenagers are free act without parent’s control. Some of them date and try to do something as couple. Sometimes they can make ‘‘something’’ out of their mind in which turning out to be out of their own expectation. Just start with going out for a dinner by riding the same vehicle together. If it is just for a dinner, then there is no problem. But if the dinner’s over and they’re still together alone in a car, then that is not right and ‘something’ bad can happen.

One factor that leads to child dumping is teenage pregnancy. Teenage pregnancy is defined as a teenage or underage girl becoming pregnant. That pregnancy might not happen only if studies were prioritized rather than having relationships with the opposite sex. No premarital sex, no early pregnancy. Worst thing about this is that it is the child that will suffer. If not aborted, they are dumped by their biological parents.  lacking of sex education. Parents and schools do not inject sex education onto teenagers' mind since they were small. Parents always think that their children will understand everything about sex when they grow up. This is the natural ability that everybody has and they no need to talk to their children about sex. Most of the parents feel ashamed and uncomfortable everytime their children ask them questions about sex. They refuse to give a positive explanation and a clear view to their children and always claim that they are too small to know about sex. The same thing also happens in schools at where schools do not have sex education as one of their compulsory courses. Most of the schools also never hold any activity about sex education such as talks. They remain quiet and proclaim that these small children will get to know what is sex when they grow up.But, children still gain nothing when they grow up. They do not understand their bodies and some of them may not know what is the differences between boys and girls.Due to the lack of these basic knowledge, surely they do not know how and where a baby comes. So they start to involve with a sexual problem that brought to baby dumping.

Poverty is also another factor that causes child dumping. Persons in cultures with poor social welfare systems who are not financially capable of taking care of a child are more likely to dump him/her. Political conditions, such as difficulty in adoption proceedings, may also contribute to child dumping, as can the lack of institutions, such as orphanages, to take in children whom their parents cannot support. Societies with strong social structures and liberal adoption laws tend to have lower rates of child dumping.

Long-term solutions to the problem of baby dumping require efforts at prevention. Steps must be taken to prevent unwanted pregnancies, provide assistance to parents in crisis, and increase communication within families and communities. On top of that, communities and government should provide shelters to unwanted pregnancies women or teenagers in order to help them, give them a second chance at life and give their babies the right to live. For instance in Gombak, there is a house for pregnant teenagers who have nowhere else to turn called Kem Asas Pembangunan Integriti Wanita dan Modal Insan (KEWAJA). When a teenager gets pregnant, she starts thinking of the worst case scenario. She starts wondering ‘who wants me?’, ‘how do I keep this a secret?’. Therefore KEWAJA is here with role to ensure adolescent girl and woman which involved in assignable guidance and life guidance that they practise good values in their life, have personal strength, mind and faith to survive and can monitor activity during and their direction of life inside societal community (Yahya Yusof, KEWAJA DIRECTOR,2011). The thing that more important is KEWAJA can save them from act that risky such as abortion and perhaps also dump or leave the child after born. In Conclusion, we can’t point our finger to anyone we want, but this time we have to examine the best solution to reducing this social problem together.
